If it weren't for my allergies, I probably would have continued on to walk the additional 7 miles like I did last year. Walking around the VA Hostpital with all that grass and trees really didn't help my seasonal allergies. By the end of the walk I had sneezed nearly two dozen times and my eyes were so irritated. I am still not sure how much the St. Cloud Walk raised, I checked the site but it doesn't say. Maybe the total will be in the newspaper tomorrow. I'll be sure to post the amount.
Thank you to all my friends and family that sent money to support a Cure for MS. A special thanks to Amy and Kelly of 2 Croppin Cousinz for the awesome scrapbook donation to my blog raffle!
If you still want to donate, there's still time. You can make a donation on my MS Walk page via a credit card or you can send cahs or check to me and I will then forward it onto the MS Foundation. The scrapbook raffle drawing will be done on May 5. I will post the winner to my blog the following day!

Help Support Me in My MS Walk {BLOG CANDY/ RAFFLE}

On May 3, my husband and I as well as our two boys are participating in the annual Multiple Sclerosis Walk. We will be walking the 5 miles, with the boys riding in the wagon. My friend Michele is also walking with us.
A little background... In 2001 after the birth of my first son, I had
some complications and developed Optic Neuritis, which is swelling of
the Optic Nerve and this cause me to lose my eyesight temporarily for
several weeks. After being hospitalized and numerous testing done, the results mainly pointed in the direction of a patient diagnosed with MS.
The doctors told me I have a 45% chance of developing Full Multiple Sclerosis within the next 15 years. Optic Neuritis is usually a first symptom of this disease. Luckily, this has been my only episode but the disease still remains a
constant reminder of what my future could hold. I will continue to
try to raise awareness and support this foundation whenever possible.
This will be my 4th year walking. Last year my husband and I walked 9 miles! I couldn't believe it, I was just wanting to walk 7 miles, but he pushed for the extra two.
Once you make a donation, please leave a comment here on my original blog candy post, with your real name and email address.
A Random RAK Drawing will be held on May 5 and the winner will be notified by email. Here is my MS Donation Page link-
Your name will be put into the drawing for a blog candy package that the ladies of 2 Croppin Cousinz are donating. Thank you Amy Hogge & Kelly Drackert!!!

Thank you and if you have any questions, feel free to email me!

I will be gathering some items from my own stash as well and putting them in the pot. Please check back Monday evening to see a picture of my scrappy donations. As soon as I receive the goods from 2 Croppin Cousinz, I will upload the stuff donated by them as well!
I did this last year and was very successful, I really want to raise my $500 this year, I hope you will help me!
Take a look at my blog raffle last year- 2008 MS Blog Candy Raffle
Here is what you can win by donating to my walk for a cure for MS this year...

Not only did my husband and I walk the 2 miles, we also did the 7 miles! Wow, I am really proud of us for walking 9 miles, I admit, my husband Andy fave me the push. He sure walks fast and I think I kept up with him pretty well.
I want to thank all the people who donated for my walk. I raised $250.00 and I believe the total raised for The St. Cloud Walk that day was around $177,000. BRAVO!
It was a great day for a walk, sunny and about 63 degrees with a light wind.
Now on to the raffle part. I have printed the names of all the donators and cut the slips apart. When my 6 year old comes home from school today, I will have him choose two random winners!!
Sorry the raffle has been a little delayed, I have been a little sore from my walk and just haven't had a lot of computer time. Check back later for the names of the winners!

My MS Walk Raffle Winner is...........
My son Morgan just picked a name out of the 5 people that donated to my walk and the winner is- Mary Keller!
Mary Keller is my co-worker from Crafts Direct, she gave me money for my walk on Saturday at work. I don't think she has quite been bitten by the scrapbooking bug yet, but this might be a great push. I will tell her tomorrow she is the winner, we'll see if she accepts the "goods" or wants me to pick another winner!
Thank you to everyone who donated and supported me this year! Hopefully next year my allergies won't be crazy like they are and I can walk the 9 miles!
It was cute, Morgan picked up the folded piece of paper and said- I am the WINNER, simply because he saw an "M" and thought it was for Morgan! I said, yep, you are the winner Morgan, he didn't care what the prize was, just the fact that he can call himself a winner!

2 Miles!
The MS Walk was today. My friend Michele, her friend Jennifer and I walked the two miles around the VA Hospital this morning. Andy didn't want to crowd us so he stayed at home with the boys. Andy hadnt gotten any pledges, so he thought it would be ok to stay home. I just turned in his envelope at the registration table.
Needless to say, I see a visit with my allergy doctor this week! Overall I am pleased with the participation in the MS Walk this year, maybe next year I can walk further!
I am still not sure how much the St. Cloud Walk raised, I checked the site but it doesn't say. Maybe the total will be in the newspaper tomorrow. I'll be sure to post the amount.

Winner of my MS Walk Blog Raffle
Thank you to all who supported me and donated to my walk. It went well, a new route this year, I wasn't too impressed with it so hopefully they go back to the old route. It was quite windy, be we stuck through it.
The winner of my blog raffle is Lidia (MidwestStamper) from the Stamp Shack. Woohoo, Lidia! Lidia graciously donated $100 to my walk, I am so appreciative for your kindness. Thank you so much.
I'll be mailing your papercrafting goods on Wednesday when I don't have my 5 year old helper with me, he'll be in preschool!
