Acrylic Background Technique

I belong to the stamping message board called The Stamp Shack and I participate in monthly swaps. This month's swap was based on the Acrylic Background Technique. Of course I procrastinate until the very end to do the cards, when am I going to learn??

I struggled with this because I was using a large water bottle instead of a mini mister to spritz water on the acrylic block. I have a Mini Mister, somewhere, not sure where. Anyhow, I settled on this design, I like it! I inked the edges of my acrylic block with my Tim Holtz Distress Ink pad and spritz the water bottle from quite a distance let the ink run a bit and then pressed it on my cardstock. I used the A Muse Studio Pigment Ink called Grass on the stamp with the leaves A Muse Studio Stamp. Then I used Black Staz On Ink for the A Muse Studio Sentiment. I let that dry for a bit, then with a make up sponge, I pressed into my Papaya Pigment Ink Pad and got some ink and then dabbed it over the stamped images for some added color/depth.

Products Used:

A Muse Studio Stamps- beautiful botanicals 2, woodland friends (sentiment)
A Muse Studio Pigment Inks- Grass, Papaya
