Saturday, 2:15pm update

Saturday- 2:15pm
Betty is out of the medical induced coma, they were re-adjusting the ventilator this morning and she was fightiing them. Her blood pressure is a little on the high side, but they are monitoring it. They did the prick test/pain test and she responded to both. They said there won't be a big change today since she is still coming off of all the heavy pain medications and we should expect more response tomorrrow. Her eyes are flickering and seem to be tightening/closing up a bit. We've noticed she's trying to swallow a bit with the ventilator in and her lips move often when we are talking to her. The nurses said she is trying to breath on her own even though she still has a ventilator in.

Both boys have seen grammy and talked to her for a bit. Morgan was quite scared, but opened up, Aaron thinks he needs to whisper since she is asleep.
We are in the Pearson lounge in the St. Cloud Hospital,. should you need to get in touch with us.
