Our Illinois Trip

Here is a collage of photos from our Illinois trip we took the last week of July. Andy drove the 5th wheel and it took approximately 12 hours to get there. We were first in Southern Illinois, Carlyle where it had not rained for 8 weeks and they were on their 15th day of above 100 degree temperatures. Luckily the campground we were at had a pool otherwise we would have been just plain miserable. The days we were there it had gotten to a high of 107 degrees a few days in a row. Yuck.

Then we went up to Rockford, Illinois and stayed at a nice campground, the best we've seen yet in our camping 'career.' Too bad we didn't spend any real time enjoying the ambiance there. We went to Lego Land Discovery Center for one day, the boys' loved it. We were mainly in Chicago for the 3 days we were in Northern Illinois. We had taken the train into the city and walked around Navy Pier and did the tourist thing.
