Aaron was so excited and really loved making these for his classmates. We made about 30 of them and kept 6 for ourselves. They came out really nice and we packaged them up in little clear bags with some Valentine-y Patterned Paper and Aaron was in charge of placing a sticker on top to hide the staple. He did a wonderful job and enjoys working as a team on craft projects.
Little brother Morgan helped too! He liked to take the crayons out of the muffin pan and hide them in the empty Sweetheart Candy Box.
Andy came up with the idea of slicing the crayon paper with a box cutter, boy did that save us a lot of time, since peeling the papers off the crayons was taking FOREVER!
To make these, we probably used 2 boxes of 64 crayons, give or take with a few missing...
As you can see, we had lots of crayon papers to throw away!
It was such a fun project and I hope Mrs. Michaelsons' Class likes them!

I had thought about trying to make these after reading about it in Family Fun as well. They look like so much fun! Maybe I'll have to do them next year. Heck -- maybe I should do it with the kids during the summer while we're bored and stick them away for next February! LOL
